Sorry, I wasn't really able to find any info on what anyone has done to jet these. A friend just picked up a new one at quite a deal. I rode it this weekend at Spring Creek MX (Millville) and thought the thing was a rocket  , but could use some attention off the bottom. It really doesn't like big jumps and whacking the throttle upon landing or being a gear high. I know I can figure this out, but I figured some of you already have so we could speed up the process. Am I correct in assuming it has a blank leak jet in there? He thought it may have come with some jets, but wasn't sure what it all was.

Also, the rear suspension seems great, but the front is extremely harsh. Very noticable over rocky uneven abrupt ground. I'm sure we can work on this too, but any advice is greatly appreciated. I love the way these corner on the track. Just point and shoot.
Thanks as always guys.
Cheers

I'll cue up for some responses too.

I tried the JD kit as per instructions it it worked well but was off on mid throttle so i need to play with the needle a little. Mine came with a bag full of jets and it did have a 35 leak jet installed from the factory. I think JD recommends a 62 or something but I left the OEM one in for now. I assume it was a leftover 2008 that has sat for quite some time so the carb could due with a clean-out especially if you didn't rinse the tank out very well when new. My tank had a bunch of crud in it and I'm sure I had a few bits floating in the carb since I found a marked improvement in the jetting after I cleaned out the carb.

Front suspension takes a few hours of abuse to break in but does get better. not great but better, initial harshness is common to the Marzzochi forks. Great bikes and a steal with the current (past) sales promotions going on. I see Heinens is selling them for $3,500 I think.

Get a jd jetting kit, i bought one for my old tc250 -08. bike realy rips after that.

For the front forks i use a lighter oil in the inner chamber, i used Öhlins no2. And in the outer chamber i used Öhlins no5.

Thank you, that link should be very helpful. I doubt they want to spring for the JD kit though. We will just do a little tweaking the old fashioned way. We won't get to ride again for a couple of weeks. I will keep you posted.
