I found this for sale locally, took a quick pic in the rain and didn't take down the vin or model info, I know its a 350cc 4st but what year? What are your impressions on this model, used values. I heard its up for $500 or less, needs TLC...

What do you think?

X2

Kevin Hines got third overall for the season in the National Enduro Series on one of those. Freddy Houss rode on to.

Does it have the twin pipes or 1 pipe?

Turns out its a TE350 1992, I went by it again today. Its all there, I am waiting for a reply from the seller, here is what I noticed:

Dingy and mildewed
needs a detailing,
needs rear fender, grips, fork seals, rubber intake (carb to head) a service, tires (dry rotted..) It seemed to have good compression (I didn;t try to start it, he wasn;t there and I had flip flops on..) Im sure the carb is plenty dirty.
Some of the plastic is UV beat from sitting in the sun, but hardly noticeable, 2 small rips on the back of the seat, I couldn't find a kill switch, so wiring could be ???

I am a mechanic, I just rebuilt my 390cr motor and my XL500R motor, so the work isn't scary...

I think he's asking $500.. if the motor is tight good deal? I'm thinking more like $300-350

I have a 1992 that I was able to take trail riding for the first time yesterday. I had been looking for one for sometime and really like it. I will say that when it comes to soft sand in the turns it definitely likes to keep going straight but I believe it is a just a matter of me getting used to it. Glad I bought it.

I had the 610 version of that bike. It was my first husky. I liked it better than my buddies then new and highly touted XR400. Has the nice Showa suspension on them that year. Good stuff. Nice vintage type bike. It is what it is. Darn solid bikes. The magneto magnets can and do come loose and make a mess or make the bike not want to start / run. And it had a funky reed valve operated passive oiling system. I had no issues on my 93 610 or 02 570 but have heard of some issues so something to look at.
