How do you get the adjuster off the clutch lever?

How do you get the adjuster off the clutch lever without breaking it? I want to put my old EE lever off my KTM on my TE 450.

Not sure if this is the proper way. I pulled the red knob off. (pried it off with a screwdriver) Unscrewed the adjuster and reinstalled the knob after swapping to the new lever.
