Hey guys my first post. Never ridden this kind of bike for awhile. Have Gixxer600 for the track but want something to mess around town with. Local guy is selling 2004 smr450 for $2000. Has excel wheel with talon hubs, jet kit and full akra exhaust. Says it has 2500 miles. thing is it doesnt run needs a new rod bearing according to his mechanic. Ive researched quite a bit and it seems if one is somewhat mechanically sound shouldnt be a real issue to maintain. Does this seem like a good deal? WHat should I look for when I go see it?
