Well, I am a very skinny person (5'10", 120 lbs), so I got a 250 because I do not need a large motor for it to power me up the side of a hill. Now, just because I don't weigh much doesn't mean I can't kick this bike's ass! But sometimes it kicks back haha.:ride:

Yeah, love mine too!!!
So guys, why do you choose 250's over 450's and 450's over 250's, same with the 310's and 510's???
I bought the 450 (lighter than my Yamaha 250 dual sport) because i needed something do do part time single tracking while still being able to run fire roads at a decent speed w/o reving to the moon. Man i bet that TE250 single tracks awesome! But hows it at 50 MPH?
For the kind of riding I do a 450 or bigger is to much! Then you start to get into the old battle of a 450 is better blah blah blah. I am 6' and I am about 235lbs I bench 400lbs and leg press over 1000lbs! I am no little kid! I raced a tc 450 in some races and it is just to much to hold onto in the tight stuff out east for hours on end! My txc250 with the athena kit and the other work I have done is just barely off the pace of a 450 on the straight aways and it doesn't have that abusive snap in the corners and mud. From a racing standpoint you couldn't make me take a big bike! That being said I miss goofing off with my 450! Those 5 gear wheelies were so much fun! If you are not racing or you are out west sure get the big bike but when even at the pro level 250f's are putting down almost the same lap times as 450's! (gncc I believe a ktm 250f set the overall fastest lap time at big buck)
