Best knee protection (under $100)

I got those MSR protectors. Only thing I do not like about them is that they dig into my shin over long periods of time. Would like to have something that stop above my boot... I think that is what causes the shin digging

You sure you have them on the right legs. If you put the left on the right leg and vice versa they dig into the shins something fierce, but on the right way I can do 6hr Enduro races in them without issue.
They are counter intuitive though as the proper way is with the strap buckles on the Inside of the knee.

Yea. They are actually marked. They say right and left on them in white font on the front. I dont think they buckle on the inside dude?... at least if I am following the left/right labels correct.

I have to second the MSR guards, very comfy and worth the price. Hook part of strap outboard.....

I just bought a pair of Kali Protectives AAZIS Plus 130 Soft Knee and Shin Guards.  Great fit, comfortable for 5-6 hours, don't even know I have them on.  http://www.kaliprote.../moto/products/ They were less than $100, I think $89.  There is a left and right!
