Both items have free shipping so your looking at 79 bucks for two setups...sell the other setup to a friend or fellow TT'r ?

123BigcoopDawg nice job on the HID setup. 2 questions;

1. Could you put a(n on/off) switch right before the ballast?

2. What type of regulator would be needed for the ebay setup you have above?

Thanks

Yes, what you would need is a switch that meets(and exceeds a little to be safe) the volt/amp/wattage of the light, you could put it anywhere running on the wire feeding electricity to the light, just make sure you switch (and wire if you added some) are of appropriate power rating. ?

Yes, you would want to put a switch...

2. What type of regulator would be needed for the ebay setup you have above?

At a minimum, you would want to float the ground on your stock stator and then get a regulator/rectifier

cause i want to add a second, and possibly third light, and hard-wire my GPS. I didnt feel comfortable tinkering with my stock stator.

OK....NEED SOME HELP HERE. HAVE YOUR SAME BIKE, BUT I USE IT TO RUN DAKAR AND BAJA LIKE RAIDS. FOR THAT PURPOSE ITS EQUIPPED WITH A GPS, AN ELECTRICAL POWERED ROAD-BOOK HOLDER, AND TWO ICO ODOMETERS, OF COURSE ALL OF THEM POWERED FROM THE BIKES ELECTRIC SYSTEM.

ELECTRIC SETUP IS STOCK, AND IN THE LAST YEAR I HAVE HAD THE RECTIFIER REGULATOR UNIT REPLACED TWICE ? , BECAUSE IT FAILED ; DETECTED BECAUSE OF HEADLIGHT BURNING.

NOW I`M IN THE SAME SITUATION, SO FOR YOU ELECTRIC YUNKIES :ride: IS THE QUESTION....WHAT IS NEEDED TO CHANGE: AN AFTERMARKET STATOR, A NEW STOCK RR, OR TO CHANGE BOTH...ANY BRANDS SUGGESTED?

THANKS A LOT.

One more question, would it be needed to change the reg/rec or can i run the stock one with the Trail Tech stator??

You will want to replace the reg/rec as the stock one is AC only.

When you swap stators, you will be converting the bike to DC only.

You can buy the trail tech setup and it will come with the right reg/rec
