I found why my bike (02 426) won't run. I believe my timing chain is stretched. The damper bottoms out and chain is not tight, found adjuster all the way out.
Do I need to/Should I replace dampers as well?
I don't want to spend another $100 if it is not neccessary. Thanks

I had a stretched chain on my 00', same deal wouldn't run, jumped timing. Found the chain was 1/2" longer then the new one. Changed the chain only, and she runs like a champ. No need to spend the extra $, as long as the damper goes in and out smooth.
