I see a lot of theses threads and I hate to have another repeat but I haven't found a good solution to my problem yet.
I have done the 3x3 mod and recieved a ton of power out of it but it seems like when the temp gets above 80 degs or the humidty is high my bike bogs horrible. If I keep the RPMs up I don't have a problem but the hotter it gets outside the worse it runs.
It has stock exhaust with the spark arrestor completely removed
DJ spring and needle on 4th clip
150 Main jet
25 pilot jet
K&N filter
mixture screw 2.75
Elevation 1500 to 2000 ft
I tried changing main jet sizes up and down and the 150 was the best. I also tried adjusting the mixture screw from 1 to 3.5 but I just can't get rid of the idle bogs.
The more i ride the bike the wosre it gets. Should I go back to the stock pilot jet or move my needle clip up or down? any suggestion?

Try a 22.5 (stock pilot) and also seems like you are way rich for a basically stock S on the main jet. Go back to the stock pilot 142.5 as well see if that helps.

Do the changes one at a time. Also, does it run better or worse if you ride with the side cover removed.

I have not tried taking the side cover off. i went down to a 145 main jet and the bike was runnig super lean when you get into the top end ( no power). it also didn't help with the bog. I am going to try going back to the stock 22.5 pilot jet in the morning. i will see if that makes a difference. Hopefully that fixes the problem i dont want to have to pull every thing off the bike again.

You will know immediately by riding with the cover off, too. If that makes it worse, cover 1/3 of the 3x3 and try it that way. This will tell you rich or lean.

Also, check the the idle jet is 62.5 maybe someone replaced the wrong jet.

I bought the bike brand new in June of last year. It should be the correct idle jet.
I changed the plug and the pilot jet today and all it did was make it run a little smoother. The off idle bog was still there. It bogs the worst when you start out in first and you're all the way off the clutch ( rolling slow ) and twist the throttle quickly. It doesn't back fire but it cuts out for a second or two (gets wosre the hotter it is) and then pulls the front wheel. Now if I pull the clutch in and rev the Rpms up and let of the clutch just as its coming back down to idle it doesn't bog but for a split second.
I also ran it with the side panel off and it still had the bog but seemed to be on the lean side.
I changed the front sprocket from a 15t to a 14t forgot to mention that earlier. Other than that this bike is stock.
So the 22.5 pilot jet did not fix the problem any other ideas?

Eddie had me change back to the stock slide spring and that fixed the problem.

What is the stock slide spring? Sorry for my ignorance!!!! :bonk: Just curious if it is the spring that goes under the needle since I dropped mine on the drive way and found a spring with the same diameter and cut it to length. Just wondering?

The stock slide spring goes in between the diaphram and the top of the carb that is held on by 2 philips head screws.
