Which side of the starter idle gear does the washer go on? The posts indicate inside, but the diagram seems to show outside. The ID of the washer matches the inside location.

Which side of the starter idle gear does the washer go on? The posts indicate inside, but the diagram seems to show outside. The ID of the washer matches the inside location.

Thanks Eddie. In the other post you said:
"there is no shim or clip on the on the out side.
2 shims.1 on each side of the clip."
So this diagram is wrong. WASHER 09181-12130 is shown as one one each side of the gear
