After some discussion I decided to go with the X wheels for my street set-up. Now I need to find an X caliper. I have found Power Parts Plus the cheapest so far, any place have a better deal? I'm looking at 201 for the front caliper, 130 for the front disk and 59 for the rear disk plus about $12 in hardware.
where to get X front caliper?

You could just get a caliper relocation bracket and run a big disc with the R caliper. I'm really happy with that set-up (for street riding). No brake bleeding required.

I thought that setup is for the R hub not the X hub?

It is afaik. There is no relocation kit that fits an X wheel but relocates the R caliper to work

So I would use the X wheel and X rotor with the R caliper and a 320mm relocation bracket from a current model wr250/450f?

Or you could've just bought my wheels that came with the caliper and disc..
j/k good luck, Mark

The stock X rotor is a different thickness than an R rotor and uses different brake pads on the caliper
The stock X rotor is 298mm or something like that so a 320mm relocation bracket would not work for the stock rotor
The X hub on the front at least is not the same as the R either so you cannot bolt a 320mm relocation bracket setup onto the fork and have it work on the X wheel because the rotor wont go on.
Believe me I tried and just went through this.
This is what an EBC brake kit with relocation bracket for the WR/YZ 250/450 looks like on a WR250X front wheel

Notice anything wrong :banghead:
The guys using relocation brackets are either a) using custom laced wheels to R hubs or b) using WR250X wheels still relaced to an R hub
If someone wants to prove me wrong by all means do so but no one could find a relocation bracket designed for the X hub/rotor to work with the R caliper for me, and the brake kits are caliper + rotor and those rotors wont fit

That was my original impression, that the bigger disk would only bolt up to the R hub. I have X wheels coming so the X rotor and caliper is the way to go. I figure if the X caliper is only $170 and it comes with pads its really not that bad of a deal considering I got a really good price on the wheels and tires.

Price wise its still cheaper than getting wheels laced to R hubs etc. Its just more hassle when swapping calipers and bleeding brakes.
I still need to replace my master cylinder screws that started to strip be VERY careful or save yourself the trouble and buy new stainless ones immediately
