As well as all the other aftermarket bling and performance parts sell for this bike, I'm suprised nobody has offered a replacement valve cover for it. It would sure look nice. maybe I'm addicted to adding bling but it seems like an easy swap out piece that people would go for. I guess I will keep my fingers X'd.
I wish Zeta would offer a valve cover for the 400 motor!!

When the function follows the form and the form follows the function there is not much else to improve. They are made from magnesium, an aluminum cover made from billet would be insane. A cast aluminum cover would require thousands to be produced and then be anodized for the bling factor. This would drive cost way up for the producer and us, and would still be heavier.

I think ebrabaek had some SSW logo's laser engraved for his 470. Looked awesome!
Hit that with some of Debi's anodizing paint (if it will take the heat, prob have to silver undercoat as well).
Fill the etch with a black wash to make it stand out.
Walla! Bling valve cover! BTW tried to search the thread, must be down again.

Now if I can just get everything under this done!

They both look awesome as well as the etched one. I'm just gonna go over mine with flat black BBQ paint. Better than nothing I guess.

Thats it. The trick is to get the desired level of wrinkle (light or heavy) as uniform as possible on all the varying curves, flats etc. Some ares may tend to not want to wrinkle readily, while others will start to wrinkle sooner. But this is just the nature of rattle can wrinkle. There is a much more expensive approach, DUPONT wrinkle in the electro-static applied powder coat process.
