Having trouble finding the 140 XCMH rear in stock anywhere- there a run going on for this tire?

Has anyone seen the 120 and 140 together, and can comment on relative sizes?

I know what the size diff is *supposed* to be, I also know a 140 series MT21 is a *lot* more aggressive than a 120 series.

I purchased the 120 and 140 together because I was curious about the size difference. The only thing I can notice is that the 140 has a flatter profile and the beads are farther apart; but when you squish them together to match the width of the 120, the profiles are almost the same. I think the 140 is designed to be able to fit on a wider rim; they are both the same height (perhaps the 140 is a smidge taller with the beads squished together). Thats about all I can tell without them being mounted and inflated yet.

Dunno what to tell ya. I can assume that a 140 XCMH is a pretty big SOB though. I ordered a 120/100/18 for a buddy of mine. Here's a pic of it beside a 120/100/18 TMII. Not a good pic, but it was considerably LARGER and ALOT heavier too.

The kenda TMII is pretty small for a 120/100 IMO

I have a 120 XCMH and its the largest 120 class tire I have seen. Every 120 I compare it to is noticeably smaller - not saying I have compared them to every tire but all my buddies have 120s from various manufacturers and none of them are close.

I have been wanting to try these.....so mounted a set yesterday....it is wide, the 120 measured 130mm (measured by laying the unmounted tire flat and put a straight edge across the top) so fit was no problem.

Been raining so no ride on it yet......
