Hey I am just purchasing a new rear and front sprocket for my bike!

I am going with a 14 front and 50 on the back. What size of chain am I going to need? Links? Size? etc...

p.s Also I have a Pro Circuit T4 Pipe and looking into doing the packing in it. What will I need and what's the best way to do it?

Chain is 520, as you are going up in rear sprocket size by two teeth you will need 115 links according to the manual. Probably best just to buy a chain and cut it to the right length.

14/49, 520x114 is stock for your machine....I run 14/51, 520x116. I don't think you need to go up in chain length unless you go up two or more teeth

Yep you are right. 49 is stock not 50. You will be fine with the stock length. Maybe add one extra link possible two if you want the rear wheel further back in the swinger.

Hey DeeCee how do you like that 51 rear? compared to the 50 or 49? much difference to you? I think I'm going to try a 51.

I run the standard gearing which I find is just fine for where I ride, being reasonably open desert. I would only consider gearing down if I was riding lots of tight woods, or areas where a lot of low gear work is required.

I find the good power spread on the 400 covers most situations as the bike will pull off idle until it revs out.
