would threr be any benefit to racing a close ratio in the woods?
I know a lot of guys like close ratios in woods, but if there are a lot of snotty downhills that super-low WR first gear could save you some time, energy, and brake fading.
Also, just an observation, but by the time a guy dresses out his WR for racing it might be indistinguishable from a YZ.
Anyway, the close ratio is going to give you the perfect gear for most situations where on the wide ratio you might be "between" gears. It would probably also help getting a good start...
