Right now I'm unsure on how/what I need to make my XR250R street legal (1986)....

So far, I have:
Dual Element Light Socket/Wirehttp://www.xrsonly.c...emart&Itemid=89
Brake light bulb
Hydraulic Brake Light Switch (I plan on mounting the brake light switch on the front brake since the rear brake is not hydraulic and I can't find a place to mount one for the back brake)

Should that be all I need to have a dim brake light that brightens with brake pressure, or will I need a resistor?

Also plan on buying a horn and dual sport tires if I can find some to mount on the stock wheels. I believe all I need for a dual sport here in New Hampshire is D.O.T. Tires, a horn, and a brake light...

Thanks

I have a 93 that I installed a baja designs kit on. It came with a mech. brake light switch, but I have changed to a hyd. switch and it is much better. Do you have disc. rear brakes?:ride:

Thanks for the reply. Nope, my rear brake is a drum. I believe that they went to a disc brake the model year after mine :foul:

I posted several threads to my conversion. Your bike will be very similar to mine. I've since switched out to a UFO dual-headlight and 12v conversion.....much better!
