Just finished adding lights/horn to my 2009 KLX140L. Not that simple, but can be done by someone with electrical experience. You can get a whole kit, but those are expensive and often contain turn signals - which I did not want. So I obtained a KLX140L wiring schematic, a Baja Designs headlight, Acerbis tail light, aftermarket light switch, brake light switch, horn, wire, PVC sleeving, bullet connectors. Looks and works very nicely. Brake light and horn work with main bike switch off. Other lights require the bike to be turned on. If anyone is interested, I could post more info.

I used the whole Baja kit on my wifes bike. Switched it to a key ignition and added a cheap speedo at the same time. I ended up making quite a few changes to get everything working properly.

Post some pic's.

Does the 140L have enough stator to effectively run lights?

Was looking at a Honda CRF 150 for a Baja conversion for my wife... but read that it will need a stator change to do lights?
