Polishing tarnished muffler

I wiped down muffler can with a rag that had some "Formula 2001 super protectant with sun stop" on it and now the muffler can looks slightly tarnished ?.Is there a product out there that can restore the shine again?

Sorry no one has answered your question yet. any of the mag wheel polish like Mothers works well.

I haven't tried anything to date but have realized that it wasn,t the result of what was on the rag.After closer inspection it appears that the complete muffler is starting to turn a brownish color all the way to the ti header connection. Has this happened to yours yamaharichey or anyone you know? ?
