06 or 08 head for 06 yz450f

Hi Guys, I have an 2006 yz450f with trashed head and valves, my question is do i buy a new 06 head for $600 or should I go for the 08-09 head for $510, many thanks Tony

The later head will work, and has improved porting.

You're certain yours can't be repaired?

yeah pretty sure it cant be repaired, head of the valve is wedged in the head so far i cant even shift it with pliers, thanks for the reply

Anything aluminum can be fixed. It's just determining whether it will cost more to fix it than buy a new head?

see that thread for some pics, its pretty bad, my local speed shop doubts it can be repaired for less than £300, i have tried to pull the valve head out with pliers with no luck.
