I am sorry to beat a dead horse, but I searched the forum and am still not sure of this answer. My friend is buying a new 08' this week, and I know the stock pipe kills them. I rode an 08' back to back with my 06' when they were both new and the 08' felt sickly. My question is, if he wants to put an 06' silencer on his 08', does he need the 06' header too, or will the 06' silencer bolt directly up to his stock 08' header??

As always, THANKS,

C

He needs the 06 header too. The header is the same from 03-06, so there are plenty on ebay cheap, it changed for 07, 08, and 09.
