Can i retro fit a yz450 hotstart plunger into a 2002 yz426 carb

i know you can buy kits ..but im in new zealand so with the cost of freight i might be better off trying to fit a 450 hotstart plunger and cable ..i have a lever.. what year 450 would fit , would it just be a case of unscrewing the old plunger and screwing in the new one ??

Maybe. Never tried it. I don't think the guide on the cable fitting comes close enough to a right angle to make it work, though, even if the rest fits.
