Im looking to pick up a set of webcams, Just thought id post to see if anybudy had any thoughts on them.

Also whats the diffrence betwin a "hardweld" and newcams? Also they recommend buying a performence valve spring set from them. Is it a smart idea to buy them? or not needed?

Any help would be great.

New billet cams are machined from one piece start to finish. "Hard welded" cams are stock cams overlaid with metal through a welding process to increase the height of the lobe and thus the lift. Cams built up by this process are generally not as strong as new cams are, but that is not always that important.

When a cam grinder tells you that you need an upgraded set of springs to run one of his cams, you need them. In those cases, the stock ones will either be too weak to control the valve at high RPM, or coil bind at full lift and break, or both.

ull need the heaveir valve springs, if u use stock, they will compress to far and break, or wear out really fast and it will run like crap and then who knows wat will hapen. get the heavier valve springs. ull have alot more power and u wont have to deal with broken valve springs.
