look at this exhaust... please help

im thinkin about buying this used fmf slip on... dude says there is no discoloration on the pipe. take a look:Posted Imagebehind the guard... are my eyes deceiving me??? what would that be caused by? thanks for any and all help. dont want to buy it if its leaking or something

its probably rust or dirt that he didnt clean off, my pipe looks just like that.

if its leaking its probably because its not sealed well. its not a big deal, it doesnt mean there is hole in the exhaust or anything. looks to me like it just needs to be scrubbed a bit though. its hard to clean the section behind the plastic so it usually looks a little rougher.

i dont no what your looking at it just looks like the pipe changed color when it got hot thats all..

even if their is some discoloration you can make it look like new with some steel wool

Well, you can get a pipe hot enough to discolor if you let your 4-stroke sit and idle for 10 minutes if that means anything to you.

if you let it idle for 5 min and it will change color and look just like that

to me it looks like it just got hot and changed color
