i want to get new handle bars. Cant decide on bars,
Pro Taper Evo bars or the TAG ones? Is the protaper top clamp worth it or just go with universal ones that fit the stock clamps?

Both are excellent bars, so I honestly don't believe you're choosing between night and day.

In terms of triple clamps, specifically, what PT clamp are you looking at and what are you hoping it will do for you?

There seems to be QC problems with the Tag bars. I've seen quite a few break in crashes where they shouldn't have even bent. Between those two, I'd go Pro Taper without hesitation.

what kind of riding you do is a huge factor

i have Tag T2's on my kx. they are a reasonably high rise bar compared to the stock renthals, but i feel that they open up the bike a little more. feel like they give me more room to move.

you should really look into the many style of "bends" available to you versus just getting a certain type of brand
