I have a 2009 yz450f would this oil work good in this bike and what weight to use? I live and ride in florida hot and sandy conditions. I use yamalube semi synthetic now at $25.00 a gallon. I think the Rotella is around $8.00 a gallon.

[HINT] Do a search for Rotella and you'll find about a month's worth of reading on the topic. Oil topics usually generate lots of activity and debate! I hope that this gets to you before the Search Nazi's try to skin you alive. Welcome to TT. FWIW, I run Rotella T 15W-40, white bottle.

Work just fine for me in a TT-R230, Big Bear 400, and a CR250.

I've found the synthetic seems to shift better than the non in my KX250 tranny.

You get what you pay for!!! (In this case, an absolutely nothing special bottom of the barrel Group III basestock.) Lots of posts on this topic, so I won't go into details yet again. Ask yourself...does my owner's manual spec a diesel oil that is neither API SG nor JASO MA?????

As for Yamalube...., I would choose Redline, or Maxima Extra, Ultra, or 530MX instead.

No but they suggest running an overpriced factory oil that does the same job as a $11 gallon bottle of another.

My latest oil analysis showed that Rotella T synth was protecting just fine, and it was in for 10 hours.

I like Amsoil my self, but many use the Rotella. Used the synthetic the few times I used it.

Let me know where you're getting it for $8 per gallon, and I'll buy them out of every gallon they can get.

No, his owners manual tells him to use Yamalube, which is a "bottom of the barrel" oil.
