Couple of quick questions about my bike

I am removing my lights and wanted to eliminate the wires off the bike. All the wires seem to terminate into a small grey box mounted under the top frame rail, along with a few leads terminating into grounds where this grey box is screwed onto the frame. Can I simply unbolt the grey box with no ill effects?

Also I am sitting here with a separated shoulder from a nasty crash last weekend when my throttle cable got binded up in my GPR stabilizer and went to full throttle at the worst possible time, throwing me and the bike into the woods and me over the bars and onto my shoulder. I am trying to reroute my cable, but it is simply shorter than I think it should be, especially considering the GPR and the Flex bars I just installed. And the old cable is not in the best of shape to begin with. My question is, is there a different throttle cable I can order that would fit right up, yet be a little longer? Was told a 2003 Honda CR250 cable was a direct fit, and 3 inches longer. I just want to confirm as I have a order I want to place ASAP for some parts and want to put a cable on that order.

Thanks in advance guys.

the Honda Cr 250 cable is the one, 89 to late model, or MotionPro also makes one.

The box you describe sounds like the volt regulator and can be removed if not using any elec stuff other than ignition.

don't cut those wires . Remove them properly and I will buy that regulator from you . I need it  the motion pro cable is longer and the CR cable will work :busted:

I am taking all that stuff off the bike, would consider selling all of it, but may keep it with the bike for when I ever get around to selling it for a newer one someday.
