I need to know if this is fitting right on me. I just got it today and I got everything how I think it should be but i'm not sure if it's right. Also am I putting it on right with the sentinel protector? Thanks

Haha, I don't look too happy in this one, dang sun.

The rear support isn't as tight as it looks, I only touches my back at the bottom.

Mine doesn't touch my entire back either. Don't know if it should or it it matters though. But you do need to tuck the front into the chest protector and the sides too. Will probably be a tighter fit but will be more comfortable and fit properly.

Take a picture with a helmet, so you can see how far you can extend forward and backward. That will also help to size your leatt to your preference

Also I noticed that you have your back support piece adjusted pretty high; or it may be at the standard height. I had mine like that and when I went to ride on certain sections of the track I couldn't lift my head high enough to see so you may want to lower it. I have both of my pieces adjusted as low as they go.

I definately think you should tuck the sides and front in, you'll have way more helmet mobility that way and it's what I do. Here's how I fit it with the sentinel, put on the sentinel, open the leatt, slide the back piece in, hook the sides under the sentinel, then force the front piece in the sentinel and buckle the leatt together. It sounds worse than it is, and after having the combo for a little while you'll be able to do it fast.

Do you guys use the back piece of the sentinel, or do you take off the back piece? I was able to successfully put it on without the back piece, but not yes with both pieces on.

I don't think you want the Leatt resting directly on your collarbone, rather your chest and back. I could be wrong on this as I haven't found a chest pro I like wearing with my brace as of yet, but I'm certain you don't want the hingded part of the brace directly on your collarbone.

With my EVS one and all the leatts ive tried with the sentinal, put the whole brace under the CP. Dont know if that will help. Try putting the brace on, then putting the CP on over it. Might need some help but youll get it.

Do you guys think that if I tuck the back piece in and the shoulder tabs under, but leave out the front, that it will function the same as if the front is tucked in. I am having one heck of a time getting the front tucked in.

I would put the back in, the front in, and then the sides. You may have to put in the smaller pins so that the brace will be shorter.

The only problem is that the smallest pins that come with the brace are already installed. Hmmm.

It will be a tight fit trust me. But if there is absolutely no way you can squeeze it in there you may have to cut the chest protector.

The whole brace should be in contact with your body. Your jersey should be the only thing under the brace, there should not be a chest protector between any part of the brace and your body.

I think I finally figured out how to get the front portion in there. For me it worked to put the front and back in at the same time. And before clipping the brace put the shoulder portions under, then snap it closed. Thanks for the help everyone.

I heard that you had cut your chest protector for a more perfect fit. Do you happen to have any pictures of that?

Oh yeah I forgot about opening the brace and such. I open the brace, slip the back piece, wedge in the front piece, close the brace, then do the sides. That may make it easier. But at least you got it working.

I don't have any pics, but on my Sentinel I trimmed the foam on the front and back, and then cut about 1/2 inch off of the plastic where it goes over my shoulders.

With all due respect, are you sure the hingded part is supposed to rest on your shoulders, I'm under the impression that the front and thorasic member parts are all that should be resting on your person. With that said, I'm not sure what harm would come from having the front part of the brace on top of your chest pro, as it, in theroy should help disapate the force from a crash accrose a larger area.
