kickstarter hits footpeg

The kickstarter hits the footpeg on my 300 xc-w. The kickstarter appears to be in good position and tucks away nicely without hitting the exhaust/expansion chamber. This may be typical for the 300 and if so I won't worry about it. I am at work so I can't take a look at the bike right now and don't recall if the kickstarter shaft is splined. If so I could possibly rotate the kickstarter clockwise a spline or two, but then the top of the kickstarter might hit the pipe. Any thoughts/experience on this?

And Thank the Lord it does!

I think I'd kick it off the case without it. And with that E-button why are you using the kickstarter anyway? I've been told it's a no-no!

Yea, no issues. My kick starter has a thickened area where it comes into contact with the peg. When it hits the peg it also leaves a heck of a sharp indentation in that thickened section from the spikes on the pegs.

Mostly I just wuss out and use the button though :p
