Need some ideas...

Nevada has changed it's policy on registering dual sport bikes. Seems that they have adopted the Kalifornia approach with running the VIN number and demanding an emmisions sticker.

Does anyone know what it would take for me to register my bike in another state? Unfortunately, when Nv decided to make the change, they did not bother to inform the public nor did they update the info on their website, so i've got about 500 bucks worth of parts just staring at me in the garage....

I just cant let "the man" win on this one. I've got to find a way around it somehow.....

It looks like the man already won in Nevada, if you want to register out of state you usually need to show proof of residence. Welcome to our nightmare.

Were there is a will, there is a way....

There are guys from Nevada getting bikes registered in Ca. as speciality vehicles, so i dont think that the residency thing is that big of a hurdle.

Move to Wyoming. We still have it pretty good here. You go down to the Sheriff's office to get a VIN inspection for 5 bucks. Take the form with proof of insurance to the county office and get your title transfered and registration. Done. No turn signals required, no state inspection, no emissions inspection. They check nothing on the bike. :smirk:
