im not much of a mechanic, but i flooded my engine with muddy water when i fell over in a huge puddle, i took apart the carb, top end, reeds, and flushed the crank with gas/oil, cleaned the exhaust, pretty much did everything, but obviously i had to take off the cylinder do i had to replace the gasket, i didnt know there were different sizes before i went to the shop, i didnt know what to get so i just got a 75mm gasket (the thickest one). i put everything back together and now it wont start, i used starting fluid, checked the plug, and gas, and everything seems to be fine, but it wont even kick over, any idea what could be wrong?

and before i did that, i cleaned the carb and air filter, and just took off the cylinder head, i flipped it over and cranked it with some gas/oil, cleaned the exhaust, put everything back together, and it started up, but it sounded like shit so thats when i decided to take off the cylinder and really flush it out

now it wont start, i got it to barely kick over when i jump started it once, but it lasted for about a second and now it just sounds bogged when you try to jump start it, i really dont know what the problem could be

well there is several things it could be; 1 do you have a blue spark? (pull the plug and hook it up and hold it against the exaust, while some one kicks it over) if no spark take the side case off where the wires from the stator is and clean and dry very inportan, you will need a flywheel puller to do this.
2 did you check your fuel to make sure it has no water in it? (use a mason jar and drain the tank in to it a quart at a time, let it set a minute or two, if you have bubbles in the bottom of the jar, that is water) do these 2 to start with. gota go to work check back with you later after shift.

check your exhaust bearings, there might be kitty litter in your header or carbon build up on your handle bar moustache
