Which Honda MC?

I have tried over and over again to bleed my brakes since the lever had lost pressure after the bike tiped over in my driveway. I read most threads about the little tips and tricks to get the brakes to bleed but nothing works and no pressure. So i have decided to convert to a Honda MC and Brake line, I just need to know Which year and make Honda MC and Which year and make Brake line work with a 01yz426. the whole situation has totally got under my skin and it makes me even more mad that i cant figure it out.?

Don't need to do all that....get yourself a cheap oil can and fill it with brake fluid (recommended for you bike) put a hose on the end and connect it to the bleeder valve on your caliper....remove the master cylinder cap and slowly pump fluid into the bleeder screw.......tighten the bleeder screw and try the brake......you should have brakes...bleed any air that might be trapped out, but you should be pretty good already..... That's how I do it and it works slick:thumbsup:

I'll give it a try but i still want to switch to a honda MC just for the fact that the bike fell over and that was it and it lost brake pressure. before it fell over the brakes were fine. if the MC on the yamaha are so easy to do that than i dont want it on my bike.

If you go over to the Yamaha two-stroke forum you will find lots of info on this.

I replaced the entire front brake assembly on my son's '02 YZ250 with a complete assembly from a '02 CRF450 (ebay: $35) and it made a huge difference. It is not a simple bolt-on though since the older YZ's do not have the new brake line routing like the Honda's did back then so we had to get creative with the left fork guard and brake line clamp. Also, the Honda caliper is slightly diffferent and the YZ floating-rotor-mounting-things (sorry to get so technical) rub on the brake carrier so I had to file down the carrier just a bit. However, I could use the stock brake carrier with the Honda caliper to solve that problem.

All that said...the part that actually makes the difference is the Honda master cylinder and I don't see why you couldn't use any reasonably late model Honda caliper.

So I know a honda MC will work but which year brake line do i need. I have my eyes on a Honda MC right now but i plan on keeping my stock caliper. now its just the brake line that I need to mate up with the Honda MC and Yamaha caliper

The banjo bolts are the same size. So just get one from a fullsize honda 125-25-450r

You also could just buy a new seal kit for the stock master cylinder and run the honda line without issue

The stock Yamaha brake line works pretty well. I used a line from 2008 cr on my yz 250, but there was no need at all. The angle for the line where it attaches to the mc is the same on both brands.

just tried using the little oil pump can through the bleeder screw and it still does not work no brake pressure. I just dont get it all the bike did was fall over in my drive way and broke the brake lever, thats it nothing else since then no pressure. What is the deal with this.
