I rode an '01 426 for a year and I loved the power. I wanted to work on my technique, so I went to an '01 250F. Best move I have ever made. I am 6' 1" and 185-190 lbs and race mx and little woods. The 426, to me, is too top heavy. What to do? '03 e-cam mod, 50T sprocket, bk mod. Twist the throttle all the way.

I bought a used 2001 which was previously raced. There was some sort of brake cable or brake cable assembly recall with the 2001 model. I bought it from a dealer and they already fixed it.
I'm about 175-180, 6ft and ride mostly MX also. I've ridden it from April 2002 to November 2002 without a major problem. I did have a problem of it dying in the mud and found out my breather hoses were getting clogged to easily and can be fixed by slitting them or re-routing them to the airbox.
