The same as they hold up on any other bike. They aren't any different than black anodized rims on any other bike.

It depends on how you ride. What you ride and what you prefer. I would check the race tech website for their spring calculator and check. Maybe one size up but I really know nothing about MX setups. I only use the track to train my fat A$$.

For example, I'm 195 5'9.5" and ride expert off-road. Everyone said to go up to a 5.7 rear. But I like it soft so I opted for a 5.6 and it is just right.

If you ride trails and a lot of rocks, black rims will get trashed. If you are riding MX dirt, they should hold up fine and as noted above tire changes will be your biggest challenge (you can use plastic protectors or duct tape around the rim when changing tires). KTM has had black rims on their bikes for years.

i will be riding mx only. i am 175-180 without gear, c class rider but old-41, took a few years off, time to get back in shape. thanks for the replies, i am looking at a 08 white and 09 white, both new, trying to decide if the 09 is worth 400-500 dollars more.
