If you are in need of an oversized tank and can not wait 2 months IMS has one available now. It is a 3.1 gal tank and comes in natural or Yamaha Blue.

Hey Bandit,
I called them last week asking about the 3.3 gal tank for the YZ250F, and I was told one month. Is the tank you asked them about lager than 3.3?

That is the email I received.
IMS tanks are expensive and seem to have fitting problems. Not too many positive reviews on them. The clarkes are usually about $170 and fit good vs $225 for the IMS w/problems. I was on the Yamaha website and they allegedly think the 00-02 YZ250F 3.2 gal tank they sell will fit an 03. I emailed them to find out. I am too slow to be wasting time stopping for gas on the last few laps of a harescramble but I am too poor to pay for IMS dry brake high speed stuff. LOL.

well that pretty much sums it up. Bummer. I'm gonna look into that Yamaha tank, though I was planning on getting a natural colored tank for racing.
