I am in the need to get my bike revalved. Has anyone used sus. by jake and were you happy with the results, or if you have just herd good or bad things about work would help. I talked with him today on the phone and he seems like a nice guy. Any input would help.

I've known Jake for years. He was at White Brothers before me and then would call me to buy his parts once I started there. Last I heard, he was working out of Denton Racing. But that was a few years ago. I really wasn't sure he was still in business.

i got my suspension back from jake, and its awsome ,went to cahuilla creek sunday and i couldnt be happier:banana:

I have been going to Jake for the past 3 years. However 3 weeks ago I dropped off my suspension with him and I haven't been able to get a hold of him to get it back. Anyone know if he's ok or what is going on with him?

I have used Jake for 15 plus years, he even sponsored my kids for the dealer series. I just had my suspension tuned up by another guy and he said that jake did not change my front springs like he said and the valving was not done correctly. He did change my rear spring but did not put the correct size in. I trusted him for many years and referred many friends to him. This is how he treats long time customers!!! Jake said that he would reimburse me for the work, so he acknowledged the work was not done. I have never recived that check. I WOULD NOT DO BUSINESS WITH SUSPENSION BY JAKE!!!!!!

I know many people who have used him and have had nothing but bad luck. My old roommate had Jake find and install a new lower fork tube and it took him 2 months. He actually had to call jake repeatedly to finally get him to pick up the phone. Jake was out of town and left the garage door to his shop open so my friend could pick up the bike.
So yea, stay away from Jake, especially since we have so many GOOD suspension companies in So Cal.

I was trying to find some contact info for him last year since he did the suspension for the previous owner of my gf's KTM 200. Just wanted to see what springrates he set the guy up with and things like that and couldn't find any evidence that he was in business anymore.

I was his last customer about a month ago when he was still affiliated with cycleprep.com. He's no longer working with cycleprep they've severed ties. If you want details on my experience with suspension by jake feel free to pm me. But, read the above threads and believe them.
