I'm rebuilding the top end of my yz426.

I don't know what the previous owner did to the bike and how he was using it, but I've just found that the cylinder head has 2 gaskets!?

The fist is a single-layer gasket, the other one is the same, but it has 2 layers of metal sticked together. Is it normal?

I just wanna know should there be just 2 separate gaskets or was it a single, 3-layer gasket?

Thanks,
Vitaly

Head gaskets are sometimes laminated multiple sheets, and sometimes single sheets, but never multiple separate pieces.
