I acquired an 86 RM 125 for my wife to ride and need to do a top end on it. The piston on it is burnt and I need to order an oversized one. My question is how do I tell what size I have now? The numbers on top of the piston are 0106A and 557M05600. Thanks for any help. Not sure if it's stock or aftermarket.

The piston that it in it now is 56.00, stock bore is 54.00. I don't think they make overbore pistons higher than 2.00 which is what you have now so you best option would be to resleeve and get a stock bore piston.

did you consider honeing it? might be cheaper then re-sleeving it.

CAll Powerseal
They are able to restore stock dimensions on any cylinder and they can even plate cast sleeves.

another vote for powerseal. they'll resize it to stock bore, but you must supply a piston, or purchase one from them to get a good match, they do great work, quick turn around time too.
