Wait and see. I hope Yamaha brings this bike and that it is a good machine. The mx industry needs some forward thinking not copy the other guys bike and then add something a little different. Time to step to the next level.

Seems like a relatively new patent, I don't know anything about this sort of thing, but do you have a working concept before you apply for a patent(let everyone steal your ideas in the meantime) or do you apply for a patent with the basic concept, then build it and work the bugs out? If it's the latter, that is a short development time for such a radical concept.

The answer to that depends on your business philosophy. Different companies approach that differently. The process is expensive, so patents are not usually applied for until such time as at least some development has been done. One of the hazards of applying too early is that it may give your competition a chance to come up with something similar, or at least competitive.

i don't know if it was just left out, but in the picture of the engine the spot were the kick starter goes it is blank! I wonder if this means electric start,or if they just didn't put it in.

The release will not be until September. The dealer show is usually in June but due to the poor economy it has been pushed out until September. Buying time to lower inventory on 08 and 09 models.

They also forgot to show the engine breather hose exit sticking down below the frame.
