Av/Wrooster,

I see that you guys are from around my way. Do you participate in any ECEA enduros? If so I attend them all and we should try to catch up at one of them. Let me know. I will be at just about every run.

Wrooster/av/BF&S -

I see all of you are up here in the NE. Hope you plan on making the spring East Coast TT ride this year! I would really like to meet all of you and many of the others I regularly see on the 250F board.

Last years was a wash - rained the whole weekend! We had a blast anyway - met a lot of good people - consumed a good amount too :) Both MX and trails were explored - a little something for everyone.

...anyway, think about it!

av, that's just great -- i was temporarily successful in repressing my fears of mid-life crisis onset but you had to go and remind me... didn't ya! :)

actually i have recommitted to doing some longer out-of-state trips. so i'm up for the NE TT ride, or the PA TT ride, or whatever else is going on. isn't there a dual-sport (but mostly trail) 2-day'er up in NH sometime in June or was it August?

and as you guys know my brother-in-law (a michigander) is intent on getting me injured on one of his A/AA rides into nowhere. so l'll (at a minimum) be out of NJ for the "six days of michigan" 2003 edition; i think it's around the end of july or thereabouts. i have to ride with him once in a while since it gives me such good perspective on how slow i really am. what is starting to suck is that with all of these cool 250F mods ('03 cam etc) i'm running out of "it's the bike, ya know" excuses... :D

n.b.
my father recently reminded me, "no one EVER retired and said 'damn, i wish i had spent more time at the office'".

ps
DRN? what's that? oh, that *other* board. :D

pps
somebody send me a b-day present, see my WANTED list below!

no. there are a couple of "softies" here in NJ though, my brother-in-law used to live/race here in NJ and is encouraging me to do one on the premise that i won't be able to resist doing another ... and another ...

The NH classic is a charity run for the Systic Fibrosis Foundation. This traditionally has been a very technical ride due to the spring conditions + 1000's of motorcycles hitting the trails. In other words - a total mud fest! Many start, few finish.

At the same time they run the classic the kids run the "Kids Classic." This is a guided tour of my favorite riding spot. Last year I happened to be riding when the kids showed up. They are faster than me - but never got ahead because they would have to stop and pick a little guy and his motorcycle up after a fall.

Both rides are conducted by the Merrimack Valley Trail Riders - this year it is on the 7th and 8th of June - I plan to be there. http://www.mvtr.org/futureevents.htm

The NE TT ride was in PA last year - but I think it will be held in MD this next time. Bill has a place in mind, and I might go and check out the grounds as soon as there is a thaw.

Happy Birthday Wrooster. I remember 35 as being a turning point in my life. That's when I realized I wasn't in my twenties anymore. :)

Now I don't care how old I get as long as I'm getting to ride. :D

Hey guys, Ridge Riders is having a dual sport the same weekend June 21/21 as their ISDE qualifier. I'm going to that so maybe we can all touch base for that ride. Or we could make that the TT east coast meet. Just an idea.

I don't race guys or I might try too hard and hurt myself then the lady boss won't let me ride again. I'm too competitive with my sports so it's best I keep this sport "fun" - especially since it can be dangerous, broken bones are no fun...

Keep us informed of the upcoming East Coast events, I would love to get out and meet fellow TTers - I would love to ride Pa one of these days, I heard it's awesome up there - but if it's going to be in Md, that's even better! :D

wrooster - don't make me feel any worst, I've passed 35 a while back and it doesn't get much better :) so enjoy the, ahem, younger age while you can while all of your body parts still work... :D
