ergonomics question. 03 YZ450 vs 08 09 YZ450

I am just wondering if the gas tank/Shrouds are any narrower on the newer bikes VS the older bikes? Any info would be great.

My 06 450 is far more comfortable than my 02 was

It is slightly narrower and smoother because the shrouds come all the way back under the seat on the newer bikes.
