My first YZ  wanted to share

Recommended Posts

Background: A bit over a year ago I got bored just riding around the roads on my big cruiser (03 Wideglide). So I picked up a 99 TT-r 250 to play around with on trails. I also picked up a 04 TT-r 225 for my son. This way I had someone to ride with me.

After riding 4-5 days a month for the past year, each day was from sun-up to sun down. I ou grew that old reliable bike in about 8 months.

I was starting to jump higher than that bike liked, well it didn't mind 'flying" just sucked at landing. After market parts are few to nil on a TT-r 250.

It was time...

I picked up a 07 YZ450f in mint condition (still has the orignal tires with the rubbr injection nipples on them) for 3500. AWESOME!

It rained all day this past Sat, so it was a great chance for me to change oils, filters and check valves. Everything is in 100% great condtion.

Sun went out from dawn to dusk, and just a few hours on Monday. AWESOME bike, great power, great feel, wonderful suspension.

This is what I have been missing!

That must have been one hella of a change for you! haha Goin from a TTR to a YZ is a nice change

Congrats on the beautiful BLUE bike!

It has been a great weekend of joy! Only down side is that hard thing they call a seat, I knew what I was getting when I got it. I did alot of research before buying. If I wanted a cadilac bike, I would have stuck on the highways. I like to be able to fly and land with out a THUMP and OUCH!

Thank you for the congradulations. ?

track looks roomey.

Busco Beach in Goldsboro, NC. Best "red-neck Paradise" I have ever been too.

Yeah man, thanks. I really wanted a 250, but a buddy sold this to me cheap. The thought of it scares me somewhat, so that will keep me in check. I'll be riding SLOW as hell for a while for sure.

The YZ looks factory fresh, what a change from a TTR!

I too have just bought a YZ, a 99 YZ400F thats mint and had a few tweaks. The last off road bike I rode was a crosser from the 70's back in 98 when I was just 13 oh and an 85 Cagiva WMX500 too!

The YZ is so good to ride! Everyone said I was made jumping on a large thumper but they only go as fast as you open the throttle ?

I feel I got lucky when I found the YZ I was looking for a good price. Once I saw the bike in person I new I was sold, it didn't even have any dirt on those hard to reach radiator hoses.

I thought I had a big change from a early 80's Suzuki TS100 to a 99 TT-r 250. I think you got me beat.

oh back in 98 I was 27
