where the piston stops and it becomes very difficult to kick over. The e start won't turn it over and I have to throw my weight into it to kick it over. Once it does move then starting is easy again.

Is this TDC like my old XT500 where it takes all you got to kick it over or is there something not right here?

what year is your bike?

The '07+ are hard to kick but the e-start still turns the engine over.

The auto decompresion is stuck or something like that. Leave it in gear and rock the bike a little bit  works on mine when it happens. It does suck to jump on the kick stater to fire it up I know i have done it twice. Then I learned the secret:bonk:
