Imagine that    The rider that won 30A at LTM this past weekend is one of those riders.  Just don't get how this can continue happening year after year with the same group of riders.

holy crap, these folks must not be aware of that invention called the internet. I like how some of them don't race 30B at their area qual, but then they go to the next region and race it there, maybe thinking " no one will know me here!!!!"
That's just plain dumb, how many people do not have the internet nowadays?

Sandbaggers..... There's no room for them. Once an A rider, always an A rider in my book.

I don't quite agree with that statement.  Let's take some 20 year old guy that is an A rider.  He gets married, has a family and comes back to racing when he's in his 40's.  No way he is still an A rider.

But I don't think a guy that is riding A at one track should go to another and ride B.

Sorry layton,

ONce A die A.

that rider who takes time off will only need a few months to get back to speed. Some B riders will never see that speed.

    I have files and files to proove this theroy time and again.

PS the guys in question have been discussed by me and the person at headquarters.  It will be handled.  geez it's like baby sitting.

In the 1980's I was racing A class and missed a triple that caused  knee, spinal, and shoulder injuries that still bother me today. I am a B guy now but I was a struggling A rider when I stepped up in 1984. I just don't take chances like I would when I was a teen.

Ok, I'm from Kansas & we run a nice little series here. My qusetion here is this. Canu ride a Vet "A" class in one state & they don't pay money, then go to another state & they have an "A" class but you choose to skip it & ride the regular vet age class. Is this normal or is it wrong.  Several here say that any "A" class, Pro, or Expert class weather it pays money or trophies, makes you an "A" rider anywhere. But our series says that a guy can ride our Vet "A" class (which has no age attached to it other than you must be 30), then go ride the Vet 30 or Vet 40 trophie class on the same day & all year long... Am I & a handful of others wet behind the ears or is this just wrong???? I know every series has it's own unique rules, but does this even make sence. Actually, they have said even our local pros could ride the Vet30 or Vet40 classes that pay trophies as well on the same day because it's a age class not a skill class.

In District 17, an A rider can ride any A class and any age class they qualify for.

In other words, I can watch Tommy Hoffmaster kick ass in 250 and Open A and then watch him kick my ass in +25.

I got 3rd overall in the 250 b class points district 17 Enduros 1984, turned A the next late spring after overalling the B class for the 3rd time, that year. Which was ridiculous at the time making an 18 year old kid race against the likes of Ron Rabolzi, Bill Gusse, Jeff Fredette and so on.. anyways quit riding later that year, 1985 started up again 22 years later and signed up in the 40+ A class. Once A always A.

But what if you had a 25+ "A" &  25 regular? Would the rules make him ride the "A" or allow him to pick? Now I know this might seem rather stupid, because Hoffmaster would always want to run for the money. So would most, but we have guys coming in from other states that ride their "A" classes because they pointed out & were moved there. Then they come here & pass on our "A" class. If your answer is the same then ok, but sence we offer the "A" vets a class why should they be in the regular class as well?

If you over Vet A classes than they should have to ride those if they were A elsewhere.

Why they would not want to race for money is beyond me.

Maybe it depends on their age. Here in Illinois we have a +30A and +30B. But at 40 it is just +40. So you could run +30 B and +40. Technically I think +40 is a A class so maybe once you run it you are A and should be running 30B

Trackman will know for sure

At what point should a B rider move up to A then! Why is it someone can ride B class as long as they what when there over 30?
