I have seen some 2006 yzf 450 cams for sale and was wondering if anyone could tell me how to install them to my yzf 426 to enable the auto decompresion part to work ?

DO NOT attempt to install both cams from a 450 into an earlier engine. The exhaust cam can be used, but because the timing marks don't align with the 426 head correctly, the exhaust cam requires a special timing procedure, and must be timed off of the 426 intake. If you were to use both cams, the intake timing marks would also not work, and you'd be faced with having to use a degree wheel to set the cams up.

Use the exhaust cam only, or use aftermarket cams designed for a 426.
