wanting to buy a yz400f

I am thinking about buying a 99 yz 400,I am stepping up from a 125,I will mostly be riding woods,what are your opinions, are there any better 4 strokes that I could get that will also allow me to go and play on a mx track also?

newer yz450 will be better all around. 06 and over are even better.
they feel realy heavy compare to 125 and 250 except that, they are perfect(:.

I would like to get a newer 450 but the 400 is only $1000 and thats all I got.

I have a 98 400 and i love my bike I came from 2 strokes also, and is so much better ride at the end of the day you not tired like a 2 stroke. if you gonna ride mostly woods just put 14/51 thats what i have and engine ice you be fine.

the guy got rid of it right before i called him!!!!!!! im lookin at a xr600 thats also $1000.
