how to torque head bolts

I've got the head off my '01 WR426 with the case still in the frame. When I try to torque the camshaft holder back in place, my torque wrench hits the frame. Does someone know of a smaller wrench that will fit? I'd rather not pull the engine out.

A 1/4" torque wrench fits fine.

Be sure any torque wrench you use, the value is above 20% of the minimum and 20% below the maximum rating of the wrench. Also on small fasteners, the wrench must be of high quality. If not, you are better off doing it by feel.

Many 1/4" torque wrenches will not fit...Try a bicycle shop...Park tools makes some prety sweet stuff...http://www.parktool.com/products/category.asp?cat=13
