This may be a stupid question, but I'm in the middle of jetting the bike. The header pipe has turned blue for about 4" from the Jug. Does this reflect the mixture burn or is it normal.

Regards
Scarem

It is normal for the header pipe to turn bluish from the heat.

Don't trip ..... and .... Go ride !

Sorry Harem, but if it's real blue it indicates high heat, meaning that your mixture is too lean. Try fattening the mixture (larger main jet, move the needle if necesary)

I wouldn't base my jetting on the color of my header.

:)

Or silencer. Or spark plug either, for that matter (too unreliable on a bike w/ an accelerator pump).
