what is 'deoctopussed' ?

Hi..this is my first message here..I was wondering what does 'deoctopussed' mean in some of the forum members' signatures..

It is sort of a circumcision for your bike. You go to the carb and remove some hose. :)

I did it on my 99, not sure exactly when Yamaha stopped putting the idle air compensating thing on the WR. It is my understanding they never put it on the YZ. Bottom line, you remove a bunch of vacume lines and some sort of valve, which allows you to fine tune your jetting.
