wr 450 milage

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Is 950 miles a lot on a properly maintained 2004 wr 450. It was off road miles and not on the street. I dont want to buy a bike and then have to rebuild it after another 1000 miles.

Thanks

No, in fact for an 04' I would consider that low mileage. I easily put 1500+ miles a year on my WR's:ride:

IMO - You can expect 5,000+ miles out of properly maintained Yamaha 4T with frequent oil changes and occasional valve clearance checks / adjustments before you need to worry about rebuilding...

Just to put it into perspective. That'd be like buying lets say an 04 car and it only having maybe 5,000 miles. That bike has got many years and miles of good service left in it.
