Dear BRC Action Alert Subscriber,

Plumas National Forest Extends Travel Plan Comment Deadline

Just a quick update for those of you who have not yet sent in your comments, you still have time. Managers at the Plumas National Forest have extended the deadline for receipt of comments on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for Motorized Travel Management, they are now due by March 13, 2009.

The DEIS, along with Alternative Maps, can be viewed on the Plumas National Forest's website at: http://www.fs.fed.us...te_designation/

Office hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Oral comments may be submitted to Pete Hochrein at (530) 283-2050 during business hours, in person at the address above, or at an official agency function (i.e. public meeting) that is designed to elicit public comments.

Email Comments To:

Put "Travel Management DEIS" in the subject line of e-mail comments. Acceptable formats are email message, MS Word (.doc), plain text (.txt), or rich text format (.rtf). Comments should include your name and address.

In cases where no identifiable name is attached to a comment, a verification of identity will be required for appeal eligibility. If using an electronic message, a scanned signature is one way to provide verification.
